-봄을 보내며-

"벚꽃과 함께 봄의 바람과 함께 봄은 온다.

그리고 봄의 마지막 바람과 함께 벚꽃은 돌아간다.

세월을 잡을 수 없듯이 아름다움을 붙들고 있을 수는 없지만,

그래도 절망하지 않는 것은 봄은 다시 돌아올 것이기 때문이다."

 

늦은 봄 떨어진 벚꽃의 잎을 주워 작업했다. 한장 한장 쌓아올리는 것을 시작으로 그리운 여인의 형상을 만들고 완성의 순간 바람이 부는 곳으로 가서 날려 보내는 것으로 끝난다.

-Sending off the spring-

"Spring comes with the cherry blossoms and spring wind.

And cherry blossoms are gone with the last wind of the spring.

We are not in dispair though we cannot do anything about forgone time and

hold on the beauty because there will be another spring yet to come."

 

I have gathered the leaves of cherry blossoms fallen off at the end of spring. As I have started to pile up the leaves one by one, a shape of the beloved was created and I sent it off along with the wind when it was completed.
